Superior place, you know. It's excellent base for sightseeing and exploring Washington. We greatly enjoyed climate control, a safe and a mini-refrigerator in the room. Not far from the downtown, 15 minutes on foot.

Wifi signal was not available in our room (408). You may want to add an extra access point for rooms far away from the current one.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice functional and roomy bathroom for a historic hotel. Reasonably sized room and the veranda was lovely... Good value and great location.
Windows were sealed. TV was small.

Loved our room - it was a very good size and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Dined in the restaurant twice during our stay and the food was fantastic and the restaurant staff were wonderful - very pleasant and smiley! We loved sitting on the veranda drinking coffee - very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Washington DC.
Wifi connection was weak.

Excellent location (within walking distance from the White House - approx. 10-15 min). The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and right-sized for the price. The atmosphere is nice as well, since the building is a historical landmark. During weekends you can park your car in front of the hotel for free, although they offer a (pretty expensive! $33 per day) garage.
There's no lift for the luggage and the entrance requires to climb few high steps, so watch out. Some rooms have windows over the inner courtyard and/or are located in the basement with no particular view (even bothering, since hotel staff can pass in front of them) but still they're sufficiently bright.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was on the smaller side (I had one on the bottom floor) but I found it to be plenty of room. The furnishings were beautiful and the bed was big and very comfy. Location-wise, it was an easy walk down to the mall or the capital building and the area felt very safe-- I walked the 1/2 mile or so back to the hotel from the area around the capital building by myself at midnight.
Because I was on the bottom floor, the room only had one small window, so there was minimal natural light.
